Tie (500-500)
Okay so I've gotten like 3.750.000 faction doing AB's, obviously I've played my fair share of them, and I've seen a match end in tie 4 times. And every single time the kurzicks win, even if the luxons get to 500 points a fraction of a second earlier. Even if in the end the luxons end up with 506 points and the kurzicks just barely made 500 a second later. Maybe the game only checks every few seconds if a team has 500 points, which could explain the delay on that, but it wouldn't explain why the game is unfairly tweaked to make the kurzicks win.
I have to say, it's extremely frustrating to theoretically win but get cheated out of it for some completely unknown reason. Anyone else has had this experience?

Kurzicks come first in the list, ergo they are checked first. Annoying, perhaps, but that's game works. And AFAIK, it only checks the scores every time the shrine counter thingy ticks over, which is why the other thing you said happens.

The game checks the score how it is coded in. Since they coded in the kurzick score first they always win a tie. Annoying but just comes down to bad coding that isn't worth the time(time equalling money) to have coders fix it when they are working on much worse things+gw's 2
Edit: Yea I had a game go from us coming bak and getting 502 they had 496 then score updated again rather quikly(I think he got the last few points from kills getting us 502 and the win) and then the game said we lost when they broke to like 501 and we had 506

So if we're on to something here, then basically, although it's very very very tiny, Anet has given Kurzicks an advantage over Luxons.
Now I couldn't care less about this whole irrational Luxon/Kurzick hate that some people apparently have, but imagine if this kind of unfair advantage existed in GvG. For example, what if the red team's guild lord starts running 10 seconds later for some unknown reason, we'd never hear the end of it, as small an issue as it would be.
Anyway over the years I've become decidedly more pessimistic about stuff that Anet will fix and patch (pouring resources into dumb events is obviously much more important *sigh*, but that's a different matter altogether), so I'm definately not expecting anything now either, but if by some off-chance some Anet person out there happens to read it, don't get me wrong, I would like it to get fixed, that's why I'm posting it, but like Songbringer said, realistically this probably isn't even a blip on their radar.

Its indeed annoying if it happens, but its not a huge issue since these situations are fairly rare. My luxon title is at 2,1 million (all AB, no FFF) and ive only seen it happen 2 or 3 times so far

Whoever has the most shrines if both go over 500 at the same time wins.

Do you know points are gained from kills?

What if both sides got the exact same amount of kills, 3 shrines each, and tie.

The number of shrines held is nothing to do with it. The number of kills is nothing to do with it. As stated above, the scores are compared every 7 seconds (when the score ticks over for holding shrines) and when either team is over 500 the victory condition is fulfilled. If both teams are over 500 at this time (even if the Luxons have 520 and Kurzicks have 501) then the Kurzicks win, because that is how it is programmed. You can QQ about this all you want, but the amount of resources required to change the AB programming mean it just isn't worth changing.

Ultimately it doesn't matter, like I already explained, even if the Luxons have 500 points and the Kurzicks have 499, but they make a kill before the shrine points are awarded (that's probably when it's checked who has 500), the kurzicks still win. So in a tie, the kurzicks would win by default.
Edit:

that's simply because kurzicks are better. they learned to hack the system and get away with a free points. this makes up for the luxons having the cooler scenery anyways, so call it even.

I got 3.5 million faction with ab (no FFF) and personnaly, have never seen this happen. I have seen very close games, but it wasn't biased towards the Kurzick... I guess it is possible though, I have just never experienced it myself.

This time we won! Kurzick won that is!
Since the computer is a computer, its about the EXACT time when the kill counts from 499-500.
Btw, the window looks very mashed up, is because it was THAT small. Played from the office..

Yeah if the luxons only had 2 (maybe 3, I see the kurzicks just capped one) shrines they must have been over 500 for a while.

AB has been skewed against the Luxons for quite a long time now. It's a miracle we're always in Grenz, from all the programming errors and stupid ideas hardcoded into the game, all the bugs, hackers (you know who I'm talking about...) and idiots, you'd assume we'd never leave Kaanai.
Actually, I find it amazing how the Luxon teams seem to get worse and worse, but we only continue to stay in Kurzick territory. Don't give me crap about double faction, because 2 x 50 is still 100.
Apparently, Gaile Gray is Kurzick. Anyone see a connection?

I don't think Anet has some sort of preference for kurzicks, I mean they made both sides up themselves, after all. I think it's more due to being satisfied with things as they are in AB. (I'm sure they work very hard on other things so I won't say lazy, that wouldn't be fair)

Yes, because polling that every tiny fraction of a second is good programming practice.
